______________________________________________________________________________
1/ Electrodes designated-16 (qualified for use on both AC and DC) should be considered as
meeting all the requirements for electrodes designated-15 (DC only) of the same composition and
covering. For DC welding applications-15 and -16 electrodes of the same composition and
covering are interchangeable.
2/ "L" types have lime coverings which contain less than 9 percent TiO2 and consist chiefly of
alkaline-earth elements and their components.
3/ "T" types have titania coverings which contain more than 20 percent TiO2.
